Visiting Lyme Park Cheshire – National Trust

The National Trust site at Lyme Park is always a wonderful place to visit and we made a pretty much spur of the moment decision last week to head over that way for a wander around. We were there relatively early and whilst it was still pretty quiet.

By the time we left around midday it was quite busy, which wasn’t a surprise given that we are in the middle of the school summer holidays.

 

Red deer

Apparently there have been deer at Lyme for over 600 years and on this visit the herd of red deer were just off the main driveway as we went in.

Once we had parked up we made the half mile or so walk back to see them and grab a few pictures which you can see in the picture gallery below.

After that it was a wander round both of the lakes with a reasonable cup of coffee as a mid walk refreshment.
