Macro pictures with the Canon 90D and the Sigma 105mm f2.8

I seem to be forever playing cath up with blog posts.

I’ve just updated my other blog following and excellent short motorcycle trip to Scotland.  If it’s of interest you can check that out at this link ‘Three towns and a 1,000 miles’

The last time I took and posted macro images was back in June of last year.  These macro pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago in the garden using a Canon EOS 90D with a Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro lens.

Not the best but …

It seems that it’s only really in the spring and summer that I spend any time taking macro pictures. In practice that means that it takes me a short while to get ‘back into it’ and try to remember what the best settings are.

Macro photography and the right amount of light is critical and inevitable it feels like I’ve lost the plot when I attach my macro lens after not using it for a while which in turn means that these pictures are not the best but …

You be the judge

I expect to be getting back in the swing of macro photography over the summer.  I’ll optimistically say I’ll be posting some better pictures in the coming weeks.  You can be the judge of that.
