More macro photography with the Sigma 105mm 2.8 DG Macro HSM

Since that last post I have fabricated a ‘soft box’ to use directly on my Speedlight 430 EXii. Macro photography is undoubtedly tricky and getting the light right is critical, perhaps more so than when taking a ‘standard’ picture.
My home made soft box has improved the pictures and given me more flexibility but the light at times even with the flash turned down to 1/4 power and through the soft box still feels a little harsh and is giving me some unwanted light reflection, I’ll have another go when I have time.
