A visit to the unique Reclaimed World in Cotebrook Cheshire
I mentioned in my previous post, that I was catching up with updating the blog, this is another of those ‘catch up’ posts.
For many years I have either driven, or mostly motorbiked past the entrance to a reclamation yard in Cheshire called Reclaimed World.
I can’t recall if has always been called that or when it might have changed it’s name but it has been one of those places that I’ve been meaning to stop by and check out for a long time. And at last (towards the end of July) we got round to calling in.
Location
It’s easy to find and is just a short distance down the road that runs off the main Chester Road near Blakemere and that heads towards Tarporley in Little Budworth in Cheshire.
There isn’t much point me writing about the history of the place, it’s well documented on the web site and you can click here to read about that.
But what I would say is that it’s well worth stopping off for a wander and a browse, especially if you are looking for something a little bit different. Whether that something is a large metal crocodile, a replica giraffe or maybe something a little more conventional, if its for your next garden or household project then I reckon it’s worth a look.
There really is quite an extensive variety of reclaimed indoor and outdoor materials whether it’s decor or furniture for the house or the garden.
I probably wouldn’t call there on a rainy day (unless it was just the indoor displays I wanted to see) but if it’s a wander around that your after it really is a colourful delight in the sunshine.
And if you doubt that have a look at the images in the picture gallery below.

Definitely worth a visit.
