Macro photography – developing my skills with Canon 90D and Sigma 105mm
This post features a selection of pictures taken over the last week or so, mostly in the garden.
It certainly feels to me now that most times I set out to take macro pictures I am reasonably confident that I will get a decent return of acceptable quality pictures. The nature of macro photography means that there’s an inevitability about there being a reasonable percentage of ‘failures’ – the challenge with focus, depth of field and light see to that.
Despite the technical challenges and the limitation with my own skill set it does feel like I am making progress … well at least until the next set of failed images.
Clicking on any of the images below will open a picture gallery that you can click or scroll through.
It’s probably worth saying that whilst these should all be acceptable to view on a mobile phone the fine detail is probably best seen on a larger screen ideally desktop PC or laptop, although a tablet will f curse provide a bigger screen than a mobile phone. If you do have any problems viewing the images please let me know.
