Lymm Dam in Cheshire and is easily accesible from surrounding towns and the motorway network. It’s located between Warrington and Altrincham and has a history that dates back to its construction in 1824.
The dam was built during the construction of the road that is now known as the A56.

We took a very decent and enjoyable walk around the dam and the surrounding woods – I have dropped a few pictures into the gallery below.
