Garden pictures – summer was here for a short time ☀️
Although it might seem an unlikely claim, it is true that we did have some sunshine this year. Writing this post has reminded me of that.
I mentioned in my last post that I was spending a little time this week catching up with one or two things. The catch up ‘tasks’ include catching up with some outstanding blog posts.
It’s something I’m really keen to do before I hit the road again in the next few weeks, as I’m sure to have plenty to do on my return.
Blink and you might have missed it
This particular post takes us back to June and July – when we really did see some sunshine and it felt like maybe summer had arrived.
This post provides proof that we really did have some sunshine this year, although of course if you blinked you may just have missed it.
Undoubtedly from a weather perspective it’s been somewhat less than an ideal summer.
What’s in this post?
This is only really a pretty quick picture post and part of the catching up that I have referred to.
I have included pictures of a very pretty Goldfinch family that were regular visitors to our garden. You can see these in picture set one.
In picture set two I have included some close up/macro shots from the garden,

The macro shots in this picture set were taken with a Canon EOS 90D and a Sigma 105mm macro lens. Clicking on any image will open a picture gallery that can then be clicked or scrolled through.
It was lovely to see the baby goldfinches.
