Northern Lights – Aurora Borealis

The Northern Lights.

My understanding of the term Aurora Borealis means a pattern of differently coloured lights that are sometimes seen in the night sky.

After looking at some pictures snapped on a phone from the inside of a car on a typical wet northern night in Blackpool it struck me that the lights I saw last night could fit that description.
