River Weaver – wandering in Spring
We had a decent walk last week along a stretch of the River Weaver in Vale Royal (Cheshire). I have written before and mentioned that the River Weaver has an interesting history and that is linked to the salt mining of Cheshire and although this was the second time we have walked along that stretch I am pretty sure it’sĀ a place we will go too again.
We only walked about five miles or so but it was pretty and generally quiet. If you are going that way we have been able to park on both occasion on a small off road car park immediately on the left after the Hartford Bridge (sometimes referred to as the Blue Bridge) on the A556. This short post has just a few pictures from that walk.

I posted last year after a fine walk along the River Weaver and the locks at Vale Royal in July (2021), you can read that post here.
