Visit to Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye. Part 4 – drone video

Visit to Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye. Part 4 – drone video

This the final addition to the short series of posts following a recent trip to Scotland. This post has five short video clips  filmed with the DJI Mini 4 Pro drone that I bought earlier this year.

In the previous parts in this series I wrote about, and posted photo’s from the trip – there are only videos in this final instalment.

If you haven’t seen those, you can check them out at the following links:

Part 2 – Decent walking

Part 3 – Woodland walking and no sign of otters

Drone videos

This is the fourth and final post in the Visit to Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye series. There are five short drone videos below.

This post is the first time I have uploaded videos and although overall and on balance I’m reasonably pleased with these first efforts, I know there is room for improvement.

The videos are short. Running time of four of the clips is around 70 seconds and for one of the clips around 140 seconds and each of the video clips has sound.

Lots to learn

I bought the drone earlier this year (January) – see the post at this link, but time of year, weather conditions and other commitments meant that opportunities to get out and use it have been relatively limited.

I had set myself the goal of being reasonably competent with it by the time we went on this trip and to at least come back with a few pictures, the drone intact and avoid any expensive mishaps – which I managed to achieve.

An earlier post at the start of March showed pictures from the first time I flew the drone at night – which provided some decent pictures and perspectives, and it’s something I hope to do more of as time progresses.
